So, tomorrow I'm getting ADCF surgery, that is, Anterior Discectomy and Cervical Fusion. I have conflicting feelings about this. On the one hand, I'm looking forward to the prospect of being free from pain for the first time in six years (best case). On the other hand, there is a very small, but non-zero, chance that I won't wake up or wake up paralyzed. The result is anxiety. Its an outpatient procedure, so I won't be out long.
